Police Officer: The Dacono Police Department is aggressively seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Police Officer. Public Works Maintenance I/II/III: The City of Dacono is seeking an individual to fill a Maintenance I, II, or III position.

This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair and construction work on public facilities and projects.

Essential Job Functions: Participates in the manual labor associated in the operation, maintenance, repair and construction of the roadway system, storm drainage system, parks and water system.

Qualification Requirements: Must have good communication skills. Must have the ability to safely use and operate tractors, snowplows, backhoe, lawnmower, various spray equipment and power tools.  Must be able to perform a variety of tasks for periods in unfavorable weather conditions.  Required to respond to emergency after hour calls and on-call responsibilities.  Educational requirements for this position are at least a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be able to pass a drug test. 

Applicant must possess a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement within twelve months of employment.  Applicant will be certified in water distribution (Class I) within one-year from hire date.  Hourly wage for Maintenance I is $15.91-$19.35 depending on experience, plus full benefits.  Applicants may be considered for Maintenance II or III depending on qualifications and experience. Hourly wage for Maintenance II is $17.45-$24.38, and hourly wage for Maintenance III is $19.04-$27.60.
