Community Relations & Event Coordinator

The Community Relations and Event Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of communication and event planning activities for the city that are creative, engaging, high quality, and effectively executed. This hands-on role involves working individually and collaboratively to plan and deliver various programs, activities, and major outdoor events. The Community Relations and Event Coordinator represents the city and various outreach meetings and is the primary staff person responsible for implementing planned events.

Executive Assistant to the City Manager

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the City Manager and may support Department Directors or other management staff as directed. The dynamic nature of this role requires that the ideal candidate have exemplary time management skills and the ability to identify and anticipate the City Manager’s needs. Provides a variety of highly responsible, confidential, and complex administrative support to the City Manager. Exercises frequent independent judgement within agreed-upon limits. Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills are a must. The role must interact seamlessly and with a professional demeanor across a broad range of individuals inside and outside of City offices. Work requires the exercise of initiative, independent judgment, and discretion. May coordinate with administrative employees concerning proper procedures, methods and standards.

Maintenance Technician I-III

Functions as a Maintenance Technician for Utilities, Transportation and Facilities.

Utilities duties:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of entry level to skilled operation, construction, maintenance and repair of a Water Distribution system and a Storm water system; including multiple types of water mains, valves, fire hydrants, service lines, water meters, as well as, multiple types of stormwater mains, manholes, catch basins, ditches, drainageways, flood control and stormwater facilities.

Transportation duties:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of entry level to skilled street maintenance and repair tasks in the areas of maintenance, construction and equipment operation for City transportation corridors; maintenance and repair work related to signs and pavement markings; median maintenance, mowing and landscaping grounds at various public facilities and City parks; inspection of similar work performed by contractors.

Facilities duties:

U der general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to building maintenance of City facilities.
