The Carbon Valley Veterans Memorial is located at SH52 and Colorado Boulevard. This memorial was constructed to honor Veterans throughout the Carbon Valley who have served during a time of conflict or non-conflict, and been honorably discharged.
Wall of Honor
The Wall of Honor recognizes Carbon Valley Veterans. Veterans, or their families, seeking to have a name placed on the Wall of Honor should obtain an application from the City of Dacono.

Possible connections are resident of Dacono, Firestone or Frederick, former resident of Dacono, Firestone, or Frederick, lived in Carbon Valley area. The Veteran's name, branch of service, and dates of service will be on the wall.
2019 Engraving and Dedication
The 2019 dedication ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 10th. The 2019 dedication was delayed to a later date than usual due to road work at the intersection of State Highway 52 and Colorado Boulevard and paving of the parking lot at Veterans Park. All names submitted after September 17th, 2019 will not be engraved until 2020.
Release or Discharge Forms
In addition to the application, a copy of the DD-214 form, Certificate of Release or Discharge From Active Duty, is required with the submittal to verify military service. All documentation will be verified. Go to National Archives for assistance obtaining documentation.
Currently, there is no cost to have a Veteran’s name placed on the Wall of Honor. There will also be opportunities to help support the project through donor tiles on the seat walls.
